1934 First Season of the Detroit Lions, versus the short-lived Cincinnati Reds Football Program.  This program hails from the first season of the Detroit Lions, after moving to Detroit from Portsmouth after the 1933 season.  This program was for a game held at the Lions former home in Portsmouth, as a homecoming game.  The program also hails from the 2nd and final season of the short lived Reds franchise.  The program has some cover chipping, but is a very rare program in any condition.

1932 Green Bay Packers versus Grand Rapids Maroons Football program.  This rare program is packed with player photos, including that of Coach Earl Curly Lambeau.  The program is in very nice condition with mild discoloration to the covers.  A rare early Packers program.

1932 Chicago Shamrocks versus Cincinnati Blues Pro Football Program.  The game was played at the 124th Field Artillery Armory.  The Chicago squad features many former Notre Dame stars. The cover has a great football player graphic with his chest adorned with a shamrock.  The program is a fold open style, and has one clipped corner, but is in otherwise very nice condition.

1935 Philadelphia Eagles versus Chicago Bears Football Program.  The game was a home game for the Eagles played at the Baker Bowl, and the birds would fall to the Bears 39 to 0.  The program is in nice condition with strong bright colors.

1924 Penn State versus Syracuse University Football Program.  This program features a fantastic football scene graphic on its cover with players wearing leather helmets and friction jerseys.  The program is in very nice condition with no rips or tears.

1936 Pittsburgh Pirates versus Chicago Bears Early NFL Football Program.  This early Pittsburgh program predates the Steelers name which was adopted in 1940.  This program is in very nice condition, with a light vertical fold line running down its center, some other minor creases to the cover, and a small area of paper loss at the lower right front cover.  The program features a great action scene cover, and a large 2 page fold open Pirates team photo.  Rare 1930's NFL program.

1921 Union A.A. of Phoenixville versus Holmesburg Philadelphia area Pro Football Lineup Card.  This game featured two of the juggernauts of Philadelphia Pro Football; teams that competed with the best in the nation.  The year prior the Union AA squad featured Football Legend Fritz Pollard, and after beating the Canton Bulldogs in 1920, declared themselves United States Pro Football Champions.  They were still a powerhouse club in 1921, playing the Frankford Yellowjackets to a 14 to 14 tie.  Holmesburg was an equally good pro football team, coming off of being the Philadelphia Pro Football Champions in 1919 and 1920.  Holmesburg themselves tied and the Yellowjackets in 1920, and lost to them 3-2 in 1921.  The lineup card is not in perfect condition, missing some paper along its left margin, but even with this issue this scarce piece of early pro football history would be a great addition to any collection.

1920 Holmesburg Football Club Banquet Program with actual silver gelatin team photograph mounted on its cover.  The program is 8 pages long and features the roster and schedules for both the main Holmesburg team as well as their 2nd or Reserves team.  Holmesburg was a powerhouse in Philadelphia area football, and is denoted in gold text on the cover, they were the Champions of Philadelphia in 1920.  Neat early piece of early professional football ephemera.

Large Spalding Football Shaped Diecut Football Program for the Thanksgiving Day Game between rivals VMI and VPI / Virginia Tech.  This is a larger sized program measuring 12.5 by 9 inches, and has many pages, packed with player photos.  The back of the program exhibits some glue remnants, likely from scrapbook removal.  Otherwise the program is in very nice condition, and is in the shape of a Spalding J5 football.  A great piece of Virginia Military Institute and Virginia Tech Football Memorabilia.

1924 Clifton Heights AC versus Holmesburg Philadelphia area Pro Football Lineup Card and ticket.  This game featured two of the juggernauts of Philadelphia Pro Football, and both teams contained players that went onto play in the NFL (for example Lehecka and Potts played for the Frankford Yellowjackets)   Holmesburg was a very good pro football team, coming off of being the Philadelphia Pro Football Champions in 1919 and 1920, and the lineup card denotes them as the Independent Champions of Philadelphia.  Both of the squads competed with the best football teams of the time, including the Frankford Yellowjackets.  The lineup card features the rosters of each team, as well as advertising on its reverse.  Great piece of early Philadelphia pro football history.

Beautiful Super Bowl III New York Jets versus Baltimore Colts Program in excellent condition.  This program has crease free covers, clean interior pages, and its binding is in excellent condition.  There are no noticeable flaws with this great early program for the historic Namath guarantees victory game.

1927 Clifton Heights AC versus the Millville Big Blue Pro Football Lineup and Ticket.  Millville was a powerhouse pro football team of the New Jersey area, and the year prior the team fielded NFL legends 2-Bits Homan and Guy Chamberlain.  In 1926 the Millville Big Blue team traveled to Florida to play an exhibition football game versus the St Petersburg Cardinals (also known as the Tampa Cardinals); the Cardinals featured Native American legendary players Jim Thorpe and Pete Calac.  Clifton Heights was an equally formidable Philadelphia area team that competed with the Frankford Yellowjackets.  Rare early pro football lineup card and ticket.

1924 Clifton Heights AC versus Victrix AA Philadelphia area Pro Football Lineup Card/Program with 3 tickets.  The front of the lineup card lists the early NFL star Heinie Miller as the Clifton Heights team Coach.  Heinie Miller played for early NFL and Pro teams including the Frankford Yellowjackets, Buffalo All-Americans, the Union AA Club, and the Milwaukee Badgers.  Clifton Heights and Victrix were a couple of the better Philadelphia area pro teams,  and competed with the best the area had to offer like the Frankford Yellowjackets and Holmesburg.

1910 Wesleyan College versus Williams College Football Program.  The program features team photos for both Wesleyan and Williams, and is in nice condition with mild residue on its back cover from scrapbook removal.

1935 New Yor Giants versus Chicago Bears Football Program.  This game was played at the Polo Grounds, and the program features the Giant's Leading Passer Ed Danowski on the cover.  The program features a large horizontal fold, likely from being stored in a pocket at the game, and a small discoloration as well.

1937 Newark Tornados versus New York Tigers American Association Football Program.  This program hails from the American Association minor football league, that also included the Paterson Panthers and the Brooklyn Eagles.  This program is in a tri-fold style with the team rosters being present on the back, and is in nice condition.

The below items have been sold

1937 Paterson Panthers versus Shenandoah Presidents Pro Football Program.  Shenandoah Presidents were a powerhouse team of the coal region, who a decade earlier had competed with the best pro teams of the era including the Pottsville Maroons and Frankford Yellowjackets.  The Paterson Panthers were a member of a early Pro football league called the American Associations which included teams like the Brooklyn Eagles and the Providence Steamrollers.  The program has some fold marks, but is in very nice displayable condition otherwise, with strong colors.

1906 Carlisle Indians versus Harvard University Football partial scorecard.  This is one page of the 2 page scorecard which includes the Carlisle Indians team photo and the roster of each squad.  The condition is very nice.   Sold.

1909 Washington & Jefferson versus Dickinson College Football Program with Frank Mount Pleasant listed.  This program has a beautifully illustrated cover with a player in a flattop, possibly pneumatic style helmet.  On Dickinson's roster is listed Captain and Quarterback Frank Mount Pleasant, who shortly before attending Dickinson, was a star football player at the Carlisle Indian School.

1921 Allentown Pros versus Tacony AA (also called Tacony Aces) program.  The program is not dated to the year, but 1921 had a Sunday October 16th.  A player named Culp is listed on the roster/lineup of Tacony, and I have 2 other pieces of Culp's available on this website from his time with the Tacony Aces (his helmet is dated with the year 1924).  SOLD

1906 Carlisle Indians versus Harvard University Football Program.  This many paged program is packed with team and individual photos of both teams as well as other sports teams of Harvard., The program is in very nice condition with some discoloration of the back cover and some of the pages.  I have a song book issued for the same game for sale separately below.

1932 Army Versus Notre Dame Football Game Program.  This game was played at Yankee Stadium.  Notre Dame would shut out its rival 21 to 0 in front of over 78,000 fans.  The program isn't in perfect condition, as its cover is present but loose.  With that said, the program has bright color, and presents nicely.

1905 Yale versus Harvard Football Scorecard.  This is a 4 page scorecard with team photos of each team on one side, and starting lineups and the rosters of each squad on the other side.  The scorecard has some very minor paper loss on the back cover.  SOLD


1926 Red Grange's New York Yankees versus the Boston Bulldogs AFL Football Program.  The game was played November 14th 1926 at Yankee Stadium.  This program hails from the one season of the American Football League that was initiated by Red Grange and C.C. Pyle after a contractual dispute with the Chicago Bears, and being denied a New York franchise by the NFL.  The program features a great image of Grange on its cover, and has individual photos from players of both teams within the interior.  The program is in nice shape, but does have a fold crease down its center.  The lineup and scoring pages feature neat inked notations like: Grange outstanding star - 2 runs from 1/2 field for touchdowns - Intercepted pass.  The scoring page has Grange's 77 shown scoring 3 touchdowns, with the Yankees winning 27 to 0.  One of the neater football programs I've handled.

1906 Carlisle Indians versus Harvard University Football Scorecard.  This scorecard has the Carlisle Indians team photo, as well as rosters and starting lineups of each team.  The condition is very good with some minor discoloration.   Sold.

1906 Carlisle Indians versus Harvard University Football Game Song and Cheers booklet.  This song book has several songs for both Harvard and Carlisle cheering sections to chant/sing, and even has some for Dartmouth for some reason.  The booklet is in perfect condition.   Sold.





1916 Holmesburg Football Club Banquet Program with actual silver gelatin team photograph mounted on its cover.  The program includes the roster and schedule of Holmesburg as well as many player photographs. 1931 Portsmouth Spartans Early NFL Football Schedule Notebook.  This small notebook features the 1931 Spartans home schedule on the back cover, and the Spartans team roster on the inside of the front cover.  The interior pages are blank except for a few period ink notations, and there is some period writing on the front and back covers.  This little schedule notebook measures 2.25 inches wide by 3 inches tall, and is a very rare piece of early NFL memorabilia.

1895 Phillips Andover versus Lawrenceville Football Program.  This very attractive program opens up to team photos and rosters of each team, and has an Andover football schedule on back.  Shown in the team photos are 2 College Football HOFers - Bill Edwards of Lawrenceville and Art Hillebrand of Andover.  The program is bound by tassled blue twine.  Very attractive early program.  Sold.




1936 Gem Mint and Very Rare Pittsburgh Americans (Amerks) versus Brooklyn Tigers Early AFL Football Program.  Programs from this short lived league (1936 to 1937) are very hard to find, and this is a fantastic example.  The program features clean and uncreased covers, and clean, crisp interior pages with no writing.  A fantastic addition to any Pittsburgh collection, and likely the finest AFL football program extant.

1896 University of Pennsylvania versus Harvard Hard Bound Football Program.  This program was for a November 21 1896 game at Franklin Field.  This dates to 1 year after the opening of the historic Philadelphia stadium.  This program has many photos throughout, including Penn and Harvard team photos, some individual photos, and photos of the Penn Track and Crew teams.  The program's original owner must have been a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, as he identified inside the book in period ink the different athletes pictured who were members of the Sigma Chi fraternity.  The cover of the book has some scuffs and areas of discoloration, but overall the program is in very nice condition with a tight binding.

1943 Philadelphia Eagles - Pittsburgh Steelers "Steagles" versus Green Bay Packers Program.  WWII forced the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers to form a joint team, known as the Steagles, and Steagles programs and tickets are very hard to find.  This is attractive Steagles versus Packers program features a very colorful cover, and is in overall very nice condition, with a light tear at the upper left side of the cover, and light fold creases in the lower right corner.  The program is lightly scored inside in pencil.  A great piece of memorabilia from a one year war-shortage joint NFL team.

1937 Cincinnati Bengals versus Boston Shamrocks Rare Early AFL Football Program.  Programs from this short lived league (1936 to 1937) are very hard to find.  This program was for a November 14, 1937 Cincinnati Bengals versus Boston Shamrocks game at Crosley Field.  The Bengals would prevail in a 14-0 shutout.  The program has a fair amount of foxing on the cover, a light fold crease down the center, and a few pencil notations.

Scarce 1903 Army Navy Game Program.  This early Army Navy Football game was only the 9th game in the history of the rivalry, which began in 1890.  The game took place in Franklin field on November 28, 1903.  The Navy squad featured at fullback, "Bull" Halsey, who became a decorated Admiral in the South Pacific during WWII.  Army would win this contest 40 to 5.  This program measures 6 by 5 inches, and is in excellent condition, with the only flaws being a few rounded corners.  The program has been stored flat for some time, but is able to be folded at its center fold line with no trouble.  A great early program from this historic rivalry.

1925 Providence Rhode Island "Cycledrome" Program with advertising for upcoming game between the NFL Providence Steam Rollers versus the West Point Artillery.  The Cycledrome served two purposes in the 1920's; the home field of the Providence Steamrollers and a bicycle racing venue, with a nearly vertical wall around its edge.  This program is for a series of bicycle races, but its cover features a large advertisement for the Steamrollers upcoming game.  This would be their first game of the season, and they would go on to beat the West Point squad a resounding 127 to 0!  This program hails from the Steam Rollers first year in the NFL, and the week after the game versus West Point, they would take on the Frankford Yellowjackets in Philadelphia.  A neat piece of early football and Providence ephemera.

1935 Boston Redskins versus Chicago Bears Program in Beautiful Condition.  This program hails from 2 years before the Redskins move to Washington.  The program is neatly scored, with the Bears  winning 30-14 behind the NFL legends Bronko Nagurski and Beattie Feathers.  The program is in remarkable condition with clean crisp pages, and no rips or tears.  Programs from the Redskins Boston era are very scarce and this on is a beauty.

1907 Yale versus Harvard Football Program / Scorecard.  This is a 4 page scorecard with the cover, team photos of each team on the inside pages, and starting lineups on the back cover.  The scorecard has creasing, and some paper loss on the back cover.

1917 West Virginia Wesleyan University versus West Virginia University West Virginia State Championship Game Program with Greasy Neale and Pete Calac featured.  The WV Wesleyan squad featured 2 football legends.  The first was player/coach Earl Greasy Neale who later earned his legendary status as Philadelphia Eagles Coach, as well as playing against the Black Sox with the Reds in the 1919 World series.  The other is Pete Calac, who was a former Carlisle Indian School Star who went on to be a teammate of Jim Thorpe with the Canton Bulldogs, Oorang Indians, etc.  Interestingly, while playing with West Virginia Wesleyan, Greasey Neale, Calac and player/coach (and later Eagles coach) John Kellison secretly played professionally with the Canton Bulldogs under the fake names Foster, Ketchum, and Anderson; to maintain their amateur status.  The program measures 12 by 8 inches, is in very nice condition, and has several photos within.  This attractive early football program is a great piece of pigskin history.
